This page explains what Owlslip stores about you and the people you add to your trips, why we store it, who else handles it, and how to delete it. Owlslip is run by PT Web Industri Teknologi, trading asInPresenceLab ("we", "us"), a limited liability company incorporated in Indonesia,Jl. Diponegoro, Kranggan, Gurah, Kabupaten Kediri, Jawa Timur 64181, Indonesia. For questions or requests, email dev@inpresencelab.com.
The short version
- We store names, nationalities, travel dates and the expiry dates you type in. We also store what we need to run your account and send your reminders.
- We never ask for or store passport numbers, visa or other document numbers, or scans or photos of any document. Owlslip has no place to upload a document.
- We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
What we store
Your account
- Your email address.
- If you sign in with Google: the name and email address Google shares with us.
- Your language and time zone. The time zone sets when your daily reminder email arrives.
- Your plan (free, per-trip or annual) and when it ends.
The people you add, including you
- Name, and how they're related to you (for example: partner, child, parent).
- Nationality. Someone who holds more than one passport can have more than one.
- Passport expiry date, if you type it in.
- Visas and travel authorizations (such as an ETA): the type, the country that issued it, and the expiry date you type in.
Your trips
- Why you're travelling (tourism, business, study, pilgrimage or transit).
- Where you're going and your entry and exit dates.
- Your checklist: each item, its dates, whether it's done, and when you ticked it.
Reminders
- Which reminder emails and notifications we sent you, when, and whether they were opened or clicked.
- If you turn on browser notifications, the delivery address your browser gives us for them.
Payments
Payments are handled by Polar, which sells Owlslip plans on our behalf. Polar tells us which plan you bought, whether it's active, and reference numbers for the purchase. We never see or store your card details.
If you only use the public site
If you leave your email to be reminded about a trip or to ask us to check a page, we store your email address and which page you asked from.
Usage and errors
We record which pages are viewed and what's done in the app (for example, "trip created") so we can see what works. When something breaks, we record an error report, which can include your IP address and browser type.
What we never store
- Passport numbers.
- Visa, travel authorization, ID card or any other document numbers.
- Scans, photos or copies of any document.
- Dates of birth.
- Card or bank details.
Owlslip has no upload feature. If we ever add one, we'll update this page and tell account holders by email before it goes live.
People you add to a trip
When you add someone else, such as a partner, a friend or your child, you're giving us their details. Please only do that with their permission, or as their parent or guardian. People you add don't get an account and we don't contact them. Every reminder goes to you.
Why we use it
- To work out your checklist and its dates, and to send your reminders. This is the service you signed up for.
- To take payment and give you what you paid for.
- To understand how Owlslip is used and to fix errors. We have a legitimate interest in keeping the service working.
- To keep records the law requires, such as purchase records.
We only send marketing email if you asked for it, for example by joining the waitlist. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Owlslip uses AI to research entry rules from official government sources. That research works only on public rules. Your account, travelers and trips are never sent to it.
Who else handles your data
We use these providers to run Owlslip. Each one only gets the data it needs for its job.
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Resend: sending email.
- Polar: checkout and payments. Polar is the seller of record and has its own privacy policy for payment data.
- Sentry: error reports.
- Google: only if you choose Google sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting for this site.
Our database is hosted by Supabase in Asia. Some providers above are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there, under the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Account, travelers, trips and reminder records: while your account is open. Deleting your account removes all of them. Copies in backups are gone within [backup retention — to confirm] days.
- Waitlist and page-request emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can see, change and delete your travelers, trips and expiry dates in the app at any time, and you can delete your whole account. You can also email dev@inpresencelab.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Age
You need to be 18 or over to create an account. A parent or guardian can add children as travelers on their trips.
Changes to this page
If we change this page, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects what we store or who we share it with, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
